About Bell Times
A calm, glanceable clock for the school day: how long is left in the current period, and what comes next.
Bell Times answers one question for Sydney public high schools: how long until the bell? Pick your school and you get a live countdown that ticks every second and adapts to each day's schedule, including split lunches, sport afternoons, assembly days, optional early periods and early finishes.
How it works
Each school's bell schedule is built into the site. When you open your school's page, the countdown reads the current time, finds the period you're in, and shows the time remaining alongside the day's full schedule. It runs entirely in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Chrome extension
There's also a Bell Times extension for Chrome. Pick your school once and the toolbar icon shows a live countdown to the next bell, so you can see the time left without opening a tab. Like the site, it runs entirely in your browser.
Where the times come from
Bell times are taken from each school's official bell-times page on schools.nsw.gov.au. A handful are hand-checked; most are collected automatically, so a school may occasionally be out of date or wrong. Every school page links back to its official source so you can confirm.
Accuracy and disclaimer
Bell Times is unofficial. It's a convenience, not an authority. Always check against your school's official timetable, especially for sport days, exams, and one-off changes. If you spot a mistake, the official source link on each school's page is the place to verify.

School names and logos are the property of the respective schools and the NSW Department of Education. They are used here solely to identify each school in this directory and do not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those schools or the Department. Bell Times is an independent, unofficial project and is not affiliated with the NSW Department of Education.
